"... The Charity Bazaar 2008 is already behind us and we are happy to announce that it was a great success! The Bazaar exceeded all expectations, with 239 000 leva raised on the day, and an estimated total over 350 000 leva with direct donations and late payments. In these times of economic uncertainty, it is a reassuring surprise.
The success of this years Bazaar will make it possible for the Charity Foundation to supporting our ongoing projects even more effectively and to fund new worthy causes, while at the same time being able to react to sudden emergency requests for assistance.
None of this would have been possible without your generous lending of 100 tables and the 18 extra tables provided at very short notice. Without them half the countries would have had nowhere to display and sell their goods, so we really are deeply indebted to you. Thank you also for the 2 tea urns to the British Stall!"
